Emissions Monitoring

In 2022, ESI monitored carbon emissions for the Town of Milton using mobile units mounted on buses on a street-by-street level. The data was used as part of a benchmarking study for bus electrification, as there was a need to quantify the fleet’s existing carbon footprint as a precursor to electrification. The project involved 2 samplers on each buses (interior and exterior) over 6 months. Emissions data was used in the Town’s net-zero initiative studies.
